While receiving an Air Force ROTC Scholarship is not a requirement to be in the program and become an Air Force Officer, there are several scholarship opportunities to have your school paid for! Below are some options for you through Air Force ROTC, the Corps of Cadets, and Texas A&M University.

High School Scholarship Program (HSSP)

  • Start application process as a rising high school senior

  • Application window July-December and is subject to change

  • Various scholarships that cover a portion of or full tuition and fees and is subject to change from year to year

In-College Scholarship Program (ICSP)

  • Eligible after first semester in AFROTC

  • Nominated by Detachment Commander

  • Based on GPA, physical fitness, major, and class ranking

  • More information can be provided by Detachment 805 Staff

Charles McGee Leadership Award (CMLA)

  • Eligible after completing Field Training

  • Two-year scholarship that awards up to $18,000 per year for tuition

Texas A&M Offers the Patriot Scholarship to AFROTC Scholarship recipients which will pay for room & board after all other scholarships are applied.

The Corps of Cadets offers multiple scholarships based on merit and financial need. Additionally, all non-residents who enroll in the Corps of Cadets will receive in-state tuition and fee rates saving approximately $28,000 per year!
