With over 650 Air Force cadets enrolled each fall, we are the largest AFROTC Detachment in the Nation! Texas A&M’s AFROTC program is also one of the nation’s oldest, having been established in the early 1920s as one of four Air ROTC units. Detachment 805 has a long and proud lineage of producing the highest quality officers for the United States Air Force (and now Space Force) that includes eight of the nine Texas A&M Four-Star Generals!

The Corps of Cadets offers multiple scholarships based on merit and financial need. The Murray Scholarship offers the in-state tuition rate to all cadets in the Corps.
